MIGHTY MACHINES Statement of Intent Version 1.0 THE PROBLEM Emerging markets contain substantial infrastructure demand and large numbers of industrial assets that are idle, damaged, underutilised or difficult to finance. Yet institutional capital is often reluctant to fund their acquisition, restoration and deployment because the underlying evidence is fragmented across multiple independent organisations. For a single restored bulldozer, relevant information may be held separately by the owner, workshop, parts suppliers, inspectors, insurers, contractors and financiers. Records are frequently exchanged through paper documents, email, spreadsheets and messaging platforms. This makes it difficult to establish a trusted view of: who owns the asset; its true technical condition; what repairs are required; whether approved parts were purchased and fitted; whether funding was applied to the agreed work; whether restoration milestones were independently verified; whether the machine is insured, deployed and generating income; and how it is being maintained after commissioning. The resulting information asymmetry increases perceived risk, slows financing and insurance decisions, creates disputes and makes it harder for credible businesses to attract institutional partners. Zimbabwe provides an important initial proving environment. It has substantial infrastructure needs, a material base of construction, mining and agricultural equipment, and recognised governance and investment-risk challenges. However, the underlying problem is not unique to Zimbabwe. Similar trust and coordination failures affect industrial assets across emerging and specialist markets. THE SOLUTION Mighty Machines is building trusted infrastructure for industrial assets. The platform will enable independent organisations to collaborate around a shared, auditable lifecycle record without requiring one participant to control all information. Its initial product will create a digital Machine Passport™ and workflow covering: Asset identification and ownership; Inspection and condition assessment; Restoration scope and bill of materials; Procurement and parts provenance; Milestone approvals and expenditure evidence; Independent testing and certification; Insurance and financing records; Deployment, utilisation and revenue evidence; Telemetry and maintenance history; Resale, transfer or retirement. The objective is not to eliminate all commercial or governance risk. It is to make industrial-asset risk more visible, measurable and manageable. For financiers and insurers, this creates better evidence for underwriting and monitoring. For workshops and suppliers, it creates clearer approvals, responsibilities and payment milestones. For fleet owners and contractors, it creates a trusted asset history and more effective maintenance control. For public and institutional stakeholders, it creates stronger auditability and accountability. WHY THE UNITED KINGDOM Mighty Machines will be developed in the United Kingdom because the business requires a combination of capabilities that the UK is particularly well placed to provide: Financial engineering and asset-finance expertise; Insurance and risk-management capability; Enterprise software and AI talent; Legal, audit and governance expertise; Access to UK and international capital-market participants; Links to companies operating across Africa and other emerging markets. The UK’s current Africa Approach explicitly prioritises trade, responsible private investment and mutually beneficial economic partnerships. The UK company will not merely raise capital for a Zimbabwean affiliate. It will research, design, own and commercialise the platform, its workflow methods, risk models and intellectual property. GROUP OPERATING MODEL MIGHTY MACHINES ENGINEERING — ZIMBABWE Mighty Machines Engineering will acquire, restore, test and deploy heavy construction equipment. It will provide the first real operating environment for the platform and generate: Inspection data; Restoration records; Parts and supplier evidence; Cost and schedule information; Machine telemetry; Utilisation data; Maintenance events; Commercial outcomes. BEDROCK TRUST SYSTEMS — UNITED KINGDOM Bedrock Trust Systems will design and commercialise the shared industrial workflow, Machine Passport™, evidence architecture, permissions model, audit system and financial-risk layer. It will be the owner of the platform and the principal business presented in its General Manager’s Innovator Founder application. BEDROCK INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS — UNITED KINGDOM Bedrock Intelligent Systems will build analytical and AI capabilities over trusted industrial data, including: Fault analysis; Restoration-cost prediction; Parts demand forecasting; Anomaly and fraud indicators; Predictive maintenance; Asset-risk modelling; Operational optimisation. The intelligence layer must remain separate from the trust layer. B.T.S. establishes what happened and who attested to it; B.I.S. analyses the resulting data. TWELVE-MONTH IMPLEMENTATION Mighty Machines intends to inject up to 1 million US dollars over twelve months into the combined pilot programme, subject to a documented allocation, source-of-funds evidence and stage-gate controls. The programme will fund: Acquisition and restoration of pilot machinery; Workshop tooling and engineering work; Product research and customer discovery; Bedrock Trust Systems platform development; Digital asset and workflow prototypes; Security and audit architecture; Integration with machine telemetry; Independent inspections and technical validation; UK customer and partner development; Legal, regulatory and intellectual-property advice. The first pilot asset will serve as an end-to-end proof case: Acquire. Inspect. Scope. Approve. Procure. Restore. Verify. Insure. Deploy. Monitor. Maintain. By the end of twelve months, Bedrock Trust Systems should be able to demonstrate: A working multi-organisation platform; One complete real asset lifecycle; A verifiable Machine Passport™; Documented customer research in the UK and Africa; At least one external pilot or letter of intent; Measurable reduction in reporting or approval friction; A defined revenue model; A three-year commercial and recruitment plan; Identifiable intellectual property and barriers to replication; A credible route to UK and international customers. THE POSITIONING STATEMENT “Bedrock Trust Systems is building Trusted Digital Infrastructure that enables financiers, insurers, engineers, suppliers and asset operators to collaborate confidently throughout the lifecycle of industrial assets.” THE UK ECONOMIC-CONTRIBUTION CASE Measurable UK benefits: Build and retain the platform’s intellectual property in the UK; Employ UK software, AI, financial-risk and product professionals; Purchase UK legal, audit, insurance and professional services; Partner with UK asset financiers and insurers; Create exportable enterprise software; Generate UK subscription and licensing revenue; Help UK firms participate in emerging markets with better risk visibility; Expand initially from heavy construction equipment into mining, agriculture, energy, ports and rail. That directly supports the route’s requirement for an innovative, viable and scalable UK business in which the Bedrock Trust System General Manager has a key day-to-day role.
